Production was scheduled to begin in 2020, but Tesla executives have changed their plans.
The new Tesla Roadster will be launched in 2022, according to the latest statements made by CEO Elon Musk, who accentuated that the electric car has entered the final stages of development.
The sports car would use the same propulsion system like the Tesla Model S in the Plaid version. The new Tesla Roadster will have at least 1,000 horsepower and a range of about 600 kilometres.
The new Tesla Roadster promises acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 1.9 seconds and a top speed of 400 km / h.
